Well, Frances and I didn't end up going to the Badlands. Instead, we drove down to southern Illinois and camped a few nights in Shawnee National Forest, then drove to Memphis, and finally made our way down to New Orleans. Spent a few nights there, had some fun on Bourbon street, then drove back up to Chicago.

But now I'm back in Champaign, minus my wisdom teeth, and classes have just started up. Only scheduled for 13 hours, but each week I'm going to be spending between 20-25 in class, in addition to about 10 hours or so working in my lab in Newmark. I'm also the most active I've ever been with extracurriculars, too. I'm currently in the Illini Bass Fishing Club and Illini Insomniacs, and I'm going to be joining the Horticulture Club and the Photography Club. I'm also still the president for the Armory Frisbee Club, too.

I managed to squeeze in 45 minutes of fishing between classes today, which I definitely needed. Lost a brand new lure on the second cast, but I made up for it by catching the smallest largemouth bass I've ever caught while casting; pretty much made it worthwhile.

And damn, my back is killing me. It's killing me even through the Vicodin I took an hour ago. Oh well, could be worse. I'm sure it'll be better tomorrow.
