Oh, and I gave the blog a new name. Bonus points to anyone who knows what it means (or whomever runs it through a babelfish or dictionary.com translator).

Thought maybe I'd post a bit, let anyone who's interested in on some of my major comings and goings.
My mom is coming down to visit again tomorrow; she's going in for heart surgery again on Monday. I think it's more or less the same type of surgery that she had last time, but hopefully after this one she won't have so many problems with her heart anymore.
Got another Biochem 350 coming up next week. Got a 49/100 on the first one, which turns out to be around an 84%. You may wonder why they test us on material that they don't expect us to know more than about half of. I don't think our professor even knows. But he's been teaching the class for years, and that's the way they always do it. I put about 20 hours of studying into that exam, and I'll I got was an 84. So I'm not fooling around this time. We're being tested on lectures 7-14 for Exam II, and I've already gone over 7, 8, and 9 again in detail. Unfortunately, it takes about 3-4 hours to go through a single lecture without looking at the study questions, which is essential.
Fortunately the material is at least occasionally interesting, and I've got a friend in the class who's also pretty serious about earning a decent grade, so she and I have been trying to keep up with the material covered in lecture.
Friday was the last day of my ice skating class, which sucks for two reasons: 1) It was a really fun class, and 2) No more Rock Star. Ah well, maybe, some day....
We've started up Saturday Night Ultimate again too. Got a lot of new people, and while it's still mostly guys playing, we're slowly introducing female friends to the sport. Hooray for progress.
Alysia is still waiting on the final results of all of her tests. She said they told her Monday at the earliest.
